So you have to be in a bikini soon or you have a special event coming up and need to look your best but don’t have much time to prepare. Here are my top bikini hacks:

Get a spray tan. It really does make a huge difference and it’s a major confidence booster. A spray tan can take off 5kg from your appearance and also hides cellulite.

To alleviate water retention drink excess water from 4 days before the event. I normally drink 3 liters a day so 4 days before an event I drink 5 liters a day and then then drop it down to 1,5 liters the day before and then drink less than a liter the day of the event. 

If you suffer from severe water retention or it’s that time of the month speak to your GP about a mild water tablet. I use one when really necessary.

Don’t eat foods that bloat you from two days before the event. Main culprits being green leafy veg like broccoli and spinach, sodium rich foods, spicy foods that have chili and basically anything processed. On the day of an event I will mostly only eat protein to make sure I don’t have any bloating. Obviously this is not very healthy and I double up on all my fruits and veggies the day following the event.

Don’t use preworkouts or drink protein shakes the week of the event as they cause bloating.

Make sure your bikini fits you properly. You will automatically have a muffin top if your bottoms are too tight.

Always get a pedicure!!!
