I have been juicing for almost a year now and I can honestly say that I will do this for the rest of my life. This is based purely on all the health benefits I’ve experienced since drinking my first juice. My digestion has been transformed and now functions optimally every single day.

Now I’m not talking about juices where the pulp is extracted which is all the fibre, I’m talking about blending all the veggies and fruits together losing none of the nutritional goodness.

Our guts condition governs so many bodily functions like our metabolism, digestion, mental health and even our immune systems. So having an unhealthy gut means you will struggle to lose weight and your general health will be negatively impacted. There’s a reason that the saying goes “you get a feeling in your gut”!

So you should have a 50/50 split with fruits and veggies and I use a Nutri bullet to liquidise my juice.

Blend together:

a handful of kale
1 carrot chopped
4 celery stalks chopped
1/4 stick of fennel chopped

The Nutri bullet comes with 2 jugs so I liquidise the veggies first with water and then divide the liquid into both jugs to make a juice for my husband and myself.
Then I add to each jug:

3 frozen strawberries (wash and cut fresh strawberries then put back into original container and freeze)
2 pieces of pineapple
super food powders (I love adding high fibre veggie powders and plant based protein powders – pic below)
4 blocks of ice additional water
lastly I place half a grapefruit on top of the ice which prevents the blenders blades from jamming.
